Last week, the Gurgaon District Magistrate, Rakesh Gupta, cancelled the license. He explained that Soha had not attained the mandatory age of 21 years when she had applied for the license in November 1996 - she was only 18 years old then. Under the Arms Act, a person has to be above 21 years to get a weapon license.

When contacted, Soha said, “Yes, the license in question has been revoked but I haven’t been given any written order or reason yet. Unless the written order is received, I cannot comment further.”

However, no action has been taken against Soha. According to Soha’s counsel V Bhushan Arya, Soha may file an appeal against the District Magistrate’s order after getting its copy. Arya has argued that his client did not hide her age while applying for the arms license in 1996, and again while getting it renewed in 2005. Therefore, it was the duty of the police to verify the required details.

Saif Ali Khan has been telling his friends that a lot of his role in Tashan was cut on the editing table. However the truth is, only one big sequence of Saif had to be cut. But since it was with Kareena Kapoor, Saif is not happy about the ways of the scissors.

Even after she’s achieved the perfect body, Kareena Kapoor continues to be obsessed with losing weight, now keeping to a diet of cabbage, apple.A source confirms, “She has been eating things like cabbage and apple. They fill you up but give you zero calories. She has not been eating healthy food at all especially since she knew that she had to wear a bikini in Tashan.”

Her trainer Payal Gidwani adds, “She had to cut down on her favourite Chinese and Thai food, as it was not good for her workouts. At the same time, Kareena could eat plenty of curd and fruits, which is her own healthy concoction.” But she added that Kareena was eating regularly and was healthy.

However our source has another story to say. “It’s been liquids for her. Also a lot of other food that are diuretics that won’t give her any body mass but keep her energy high. It’s no wonder then that she’s been constantly fainting when she’s had to film for long hours.”

On an average one medium sized apple has 72 calories and 0.2g fat and one cup chopped cabbage has 22 calories and 0.1 gm fat. So if we assume that she eats three apples and three cups of cabbage her total calorific intake is 282 calories and 0.9gm. Normally an individual with an active lifestyle like hers has recently been with constant filming across the world she would be advised to follow a diet of a minimum of 1800 calories per day.

Another friend of the popular actress reveals that the actress’ obsession with her figure is now beginning to worry her friends and family. “Her mum has been trying to explain to her to stop this
diet now and eat properly. But she just won’t listen. She is obsessed about her diet. And it’s worrying her close ones. Even Saif who is fond of good food and different cuisines is having a hard time getting through to her,” says the friend.

And while Kareena has vehemently denied being anorexic, her extremely thin frame and her weight - 48 kgs - aren’t helping matters!

New Delhi, (IANS) Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu played a perfect brand ambassador at the launch of a perfume brand as she refused to respond to any questions related to her upcoming films like “Bachna Aye Hasino” in the capital Wednesday.

She was here to launch the entry of the US-based perfume brand Alcome Perfumes & Cosmetics into the Indian markets.

Looking stunning in a vermillion coloured long, backless gown with a perfume bottle intact in her hand, Bipasha chose to speak to the press only about the brand, ignoring all other questions.

She said: “It is an appropriate question. It is a wrong day to be discussing films.
I would answer these questions some other time. I am here for Alcome today.”Although she did not entertain any questions from the journalists present there, the actress, riding high on “Race” success, was quite friendly with the photographers.

Explaining her character, Juhi tells us, “My role is very gaudy as I am playing a gypsy. In fact I had to replace my make-up man with a really loud one since it was the need of the hour. Apart from make up, I was also told to wear very flashy clothes. After first I was horrified myself so I only hope fans will recognize me.”

On what made her take up the role, she says, “I have been in contact with Aziz Mirza from the Raju Ban Gaya Gentlemen days so when he approached me for this role I said yes without any hesitation.”

New Delhi, (IANS) When Bollywood actress Kajol, who is currently on the panel of judges of Zee TV’s reality show “Rock N Roll Family” along with husband Ajay Devgan and mother Tanuja, broke down on the sets of the show, her husband chose not to console her.

While everyone on the sets was busy preparing for the next performance, Kajol started crying on the sets for no apparent reason Monday.

Female power is in. Deepika Padukone is busy matching Akshay Kumar’s kicks and somersaults in Bangkok for Nikhil Advani’s Chandni Chowk To China. Nearer home in Hyderabad, Jiah Khan matched stunt strides with Aamir Khan.

I’m not allowed to,” she quakes with contractual terror. “But yes, I’ve done a lot of action scenes in Ghajini. They’ve been extremely unnerving.”

The action sequences require Jiah to match Aamir kick for kick. “And they are one reason I had to lose so weight,” she admits, having returned from Hyderabad where the Ghajini shooting was wrapped up earlier this week. “The schedules don’t suffer because of Aamir’s accident at all. Kolkata, (IANS) In a thanks-giving act, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will delight the audience at the Eden Gardens here Thursday with a 20-minute performance ahead of his Kolkata Knight Riders team’s Indian Premier League (IPL) match with Bangalore Royal Challengers.

“Shah Rukh will be performing with his troupe for about 20 minutes before Thursday’s match starts. We will put up a makeshift 30 ft x 20 ft stage just outside the boundary near F or J block in the gallery,” Red Chillies event manager Mohammad Morani told IANS Tuesday.

Sources at Red Chillies, a firm floated by the star, said Shah Rukh was overwhelmed with the support his team was receiving in Kolkata though they had suffered four defeats in a row. “So this performance is to thank the KKR supporters in Bollywood style,” said a source.

“Actors Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor have given their verbal consent to be part of the show. Besides, famous WWE wrestler Khali may also make a brief appearance at the show,” sources said.

Akshay Kumar and John Abraham - the combo that featured in the Priyadarshan hit GARAM MASALA - are expected to share the screen space yet again. This time, the project will be produced by Studio 18 and directed by Anees Bazmee. Although the production house hasn’t signed the stars yet, there’s a strong possibility that the two actors might feature in the film.
“Right now, we’ve signed Anees Bazmee for the project in question. We’ve also locked the concept. But we haven’t confirmed the star cast yet,” Preeti Shahani of Studio 18 sets the record straight, “Once the script is okayed, we will we move on to the next level - of finalizing the cast. Things should be crystal clear once SINGH IS KINNG is released.”

Whilst superstar Akshay Kumar is busy shooting in Bangkok, wife Twinkle Khanna is going back to school. No, not with her blue-eyed five-year-old son Aarav, but to the Parson’s School of Design in New York in June. “I am taking a course in light design as that sphere in interior design changes rapidly. Bollywood actress Sherlyn Chopra is shooting for her new music album ‘Dard-e-Sherlyn’ in Mumbai.She was paired opposite model Shawar Ali in the video shoot of her new album.

Speaking to media personnel present during the shooting of her album, the starlet said she was inspired by Shah Rukh Khan’s song ‘Dard-e-Disco’ in his latest flick ‘Om Shanti Om’ to do this album.

“A music album not just for the classes, but for the masses as well. After watching Shah Rukh’s ‘Dard-e-Disco’, I thought I should also portray my pain on the screen in a positive manner. Because, I don’t have six- pack abs like Shah Rukh has. I’m going to show something else,” said Sherlyn.
